Contemp Art Show

These two wall pieces and my funky tea jar were accepted into "contempo, pushing the limits on art", to be held January 6th to February 12th at the Lighthouse ArtCentre in Tequesta, Florida.

The above piece fiber portion is pieced and quilted, featuring seeds, petals and Angelina fibers. Stoneware clay box frame is textured and highlighted with iron oxide.

More quilting with nature's contribution of rose petals and seeds, this piece is textured with the use of solvron as described here.

Bits of pine needles are included in this fiber study, stitched to a funky tea jar. If you're in the area check out the show. If you can attend January 6th enjoy the ArtsyBras, fundraiser auction for cancer. I had intended to get a bra made this year but time escaped me.

For some fiber inspiration check out 3 Creative Studios. They are holding a launch party to celebrate their new website, blog and lots of exciting upcoming and on-going events! And you can enter to win fabulous gifts! If you haven't already visited click on over .....
