Llama or Alpaca?
I saw these adorable creatures a couple weeks ago .... I assumed they were llamas at the time but perhaps they are alpacas. Alpacas are smaller than llamas but without the other to compare I don't know. What do you think? I wanted to reach out and pet them but know nothing about their temperament so thought it best to just admire and talk to them. They were so sweet looking ..... two even laid down in the field to roll around like my dogs.
The funky hairdos are making me think alpaca, but that is just a guess....
ReplyDeleteThey are cute. We have alpacas in the neighborhood-smaller than our friend's llamas. Llamas can spit, although there's just want to kiss me. I tried emailing you, but it bounced.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Karen and think they are alpacas because I've never seen a llama with such a funky hairdo. The sheep farmers out here in the country put a llama in with their sheep to keep the coyotes away but these guys are too cute to scare anyone.
