New Work

I didn't get much time in my studio this fall but managed to fill the kiln with a load including a few new pieces. ..... a few pieces in their greenware state waiting to be dry enough for the bisque load....
...a lot of handbuilt pieces including lidded jars, mugs and a couple pedestal dishes....
I saved some of the plastic grab bag pieces from Halloween as we didn't have many trick-or-treaters. I never thought I'd press a skeleton into my clay but I was very happy with the results, will post a photo in another blog.
.... some wheel thrown berry bowls, ring holders, tool caddies, tumblers, capped jars .....
and I thought a few dog bones were needed for the holidays .....
Last night I was at FAU for set-up of the Holiday Show and Sale. I can't be at the opening tonight but if you're near Boca do visit if you can. It opens tonight at 5 and goes until 8pm. Tomorrow and Saturady it is open 10-5, in the Ritter Gallery, Boca Raton campus.
I wish I had taken more photos but the evening was for setup so just quickly grabbed a few. Will take more tomorrow morning. There's always a wonderful variety of both functional and sculptural work.

  2. The skeleton piece made me chuckle. I like the pedestal piece too. Is that the final firing?
